Abstract
The study was conducted from September 13 to September 17, 2004 to investigate education satisfaction and expectation achievement of 128 RN-BSN students in D city. A self-report scale with 25 items measuring social, demographic characteristics, education satisfaction and expectation achievement was used. The assessment instrument for expectation was a revised version of the instrument used by Kim Sun-Ok (1996), and the assessment instrument for education satisfaction was devised by referring to the instrument developed by Kim Yang-Im (2000).
Collected data was analyzed using SPSS statistical software. Social, demographic data was represented as real numbers or as a percentage. The relationship between education satisfaction and expectation achievement was analyzed using Pearson Correlation coefficient.

The results of the study are summarized as follows:
The mean score of education satisfaction was 2.81 out of 5. By category, subjects showed a higher level of satisfaction with their professors (3.23) while having the lowest satisfaction rate for clinical practice (1.96).
As for course content, subject expressed their satisfaction with selective subjects but had relatively high degree of dissatisfaction with their compulsory subjects, which they think are not as useful as they expect for their fieldwork.
Subjects were relatively satisfied with class schedules but rather dissatisfied with lecturing method.
There was a degree of dissatisfaction for course period and a higher level of dissatisfaction for student evaluation system citing an element of non-inclusiveness in the system as a main reason.
Subjects revealed a very high degree of dissatisfaction for clinical practice said that they thought they did not need such practice because they was already did their fieldwork in clinical sites.
Subjects were relatively satisfied with qualifications of professors but showed some degree of dissatisfaction for the way professors prepared for lecture.
There was a degree of dissatisfaction with school amenities largely due to the inconvenience involved in using facilities such as library.
Subjects displayed the strongest desire to have the feeling of education satisfaction and self-achievement. Education satisfaction and expectation achievement was positively correlated.

In conclusion, a moderate degree of satisfaction was found for the overall course content. But the lowest level of satisfaction was observed in clinical learning experience, underlining the need for improvement in relevant subjects. Given a positive correlation between education satisfaction and expectation achievement, changes in course content aimed at boosting students¡¯ satisfaction seem imminent.
The findings of this study suggest that further studies are necessary to measure students¡¯ education satisfaction and track the effects of the course and eventually come up with more effective education programs for RN-BSN students.
